With that spirit, we’d love to invite you to our Food for Life Seva (Food Feeding Charity Program)
Have you ever wondered where the word Namaste comes from, or where many of the spiritual practices we embrace today originated?
Namaste is a Sanskrit greeting that honors the divine within one another. It is a reminder that the light in me honors the light in you and that we are all deeply connected.
Many of the practices we know today, such as yoga, meditation, mantra chanting, and seva (selfless service), have been preserved and developed within the spiritual traditions of India. One of the beautiful paths of yoga is Bhakti Yoga, the path of love, devotion, compassion, and selfless service.
As we continue our own healing journeys, it’s also important to honor the traditions and lineages that have preserved these teachings through generations.
We’ve received so much throughout our lives: blessings, lessons, opportunities, and moments of grace. Perhaps this is a beautiful time to give back, not only for others but also as a practice that transforms our own hearts.
Every act of kindness offered with sincerity, humility, and without expecting anything in return plants seeds of compassion. Through seva, we cultivate positive karma, soften the heart, and become instruments of service.
As a saying often attributed to Mahatma Gandhi reminds us:
“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”
With that spirit, we’d love to invite you to our Food for Life Seva (Food Feeding Charity Program)
